About Sri Vidya Gurukulam
Sri Vidya Gurukulam is a sacred center for learning Sri Vidya and Vedanta founded by our Guru Dr.Swami Jagadatmananda Saraswati. Spread across 7.42 acres of pristine land on the mountains of Aravenu, Kotagiri, Tamil Nadu, it is a part by Sri Lalitambika Trust, an organisation established by our Guru that manages Sri Lalitambika Temple, Dayalaya and Sri Anuvavi Anjaneyar Nandhavanam.
Temples at Sri Vidya Gurukulam
Sri Vidya Gurukulam houses two temples, the Sri Shirdi Saibaba Temple and a 200 year old Sri Muthu Mariamman Temple with sub-deities Sri Mahaganapathy, Sri Subramanya and local guardian deities. A sub-shrine is dedicated to Lord Vana Karuppar at the entrance of Sri Shirdi Saibaba Temple.
The Sri Vidya Gurukulam is a place blessed by numerous Gurus and Siddhas of Bharat. There is an installation of an idol of Ellaam Valla Siddhar, a great saint and granter of all boons, who has left his spiritual energy here at the Sri Vidya Gurukulam upon his departure from the physical plane. The rock where Ellaam Valla Siddhar performed penance is a 3 minute trek uphill from the temple of Sri Shirdi Saibaba. Our programmes incorporate the teachings of the Siddha tradition as imparted by Ellaam Valla Siddhar. Meditating by this rock helps devotees in problem solving and decision making while healing them mentally, physically and emotionally.
