Sri Lalithambika Gaushala managed by Shri Lalithambika Trust symbolizes admiration of our culture heritage of cow welfare and denote our love and compassion for animals. The cow is considered very sacred in Indian Culture due to its divinity and contribution. Cattles and their breeding is the bedrock of our rural economy. Cow gives mankind a good nourishment (Milk and dairy products), Medicines (panchgavya a mixture of five ingredients milk, curd, ghee, cow urine and cow dung which acts a natural immunity booster and purifier) helps agriculture (bio-pesticides and manure as a fuel and natural fertilizer) and free Energy (bio-gas). Particularly the Deshi cows with hump are very divine and they become rare as the high breed varieties are highly promoted. The owners of incapacitated cows are abandoning them resulting in a huge population of stray cattle. The welfare of stray cattle needs an urgent attention. Sri Lalithambika Gowshala undertakes the maintenance of Deshi cows which are the treasures of our country with a non-commercial attitude and protects the stray cows. The Gaushala is to rescue, shelter, protect, feed, treat and rehabilitate the cows where they are treated with love, respect and compassion. Regular pujas are performed every day. We worship cows as Go matha. We request the donors to contribute generously and receive the divine blessings of Guru and Gomatha.
